Hi everyone. I think I'm home to stay now until Christmas so I am going to try and get some challenges done.
If you"re wondering why I haven't been around much, it is because my mom has been diagnosed with Alzheimer"s Disease and  I wanted to spend some extra time with her.

I also have been making my Christmas cards for my tenants. Thank goodness they are done now!

Anyway, on to today's card!

I am back for a short while so I thought I would try the Inspired by Stamping Challenge. Here is the sketch this week.

Here is my take on the sketch.

I went with non traditional colors for Christmas. I substituted the bow for a gorgeous poinsettia. I don't know if you can tell by the picture, but the poinsettia and sentiment are framed with glitter.

MIU Challenge

This is my card for the Mix It Up Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers. Our challenge was to make a card using purple, lace and an Embossing Folder that we haven't used in 3 months.

Wow..it feels like forever since I made a card! It has been a super busy month for me...and it's the first day in a week without grandkids! I need a break LOL

Mother's Day

Well it's time to think about making Mother's Day cards. I understand that not everyone likes pink and frilly so I went way out of my comfort zone to make this card. You don't know how badly I wanted to put a pink bow and ribbon on it lol. I guess I'll have to be happy with that little bit of pink in the designer paper! To give it a little more color I added gold leafing to the sentiments and flower.I entered my card in the Viva la Verve Sketch challenge and the Flourishes Challenge to use pink,ribbon and a die cut.
